Dear SM Entertainment,

I have been a fan of many of your artists for about four years now and I really enjoyed the music videos and variety shows that your idols have gone on. The style of music that was produced was always catchy and rarely did I dislike any sort of musical performance.

Even so, I would like to address the problem that has been circulating around your company's name. Over the past year, there has been an abundance of scandals and problems that have been bringing your name own negatively. Starting from the beginning of 2014 in January, we go to Girl's Generation's comeback song with "I Got a Boy". A little while after this, two of the members were to revealed to have finally gotten into relationships. A bit after it was confirmed that a particular relationship between Taeyeon Kim and Baekhyun Byun was confirmed, but they were affected negatively due to another lawsuit by Baekhyun's fellow group member Kris Wu.

It was confirmed in May that Kris filed a lawsuit against SM and wanted his contract to be nullified and was a heartbreaking thing for many fans, including myself. Many fans bashed the couple, not only due to the fact that they didn't support the couple, but because they thought it was a ploy made by SM to cover up the Kris scandal. This irked me a bit, since I had no problem with the relationship if it meant that the two idols were happy and in love, but the two received so much negative feedback that they refused to even speak to one another, staying away from one another during concert performances and unfollowing each other on social media.

One of the reasons Kris filed to nullify his contract was because the company refused to seek out the medical attention he needed, thus forcing him to perform in a very sick state. This re-occurrence wasn't the only problem in the company and one more member from the popular group Exo filed a lawsuit against SM entertainment, this being 24 year old Luhan Xi. He also had been having medical problems that weren't tended to, having him want to terminate his contract.

These cases had happened during the year of 2014, bringing a lot of stress to people in the company and even people that were simply fans of the group. Members that have been training for more than five years to be in these groups have had all of these problems shot in their faces and it's not fair that all of their hard work has been torn up like this. I could keep going, but I believe that I should cut this short and propose my idea.

Why not bring the entire SM Entertainment to Hawaii?

Nobody can handle that much stress for months at a time, let alone a whole year. Take the time to find out the real problems from the ones just showcased to create controversy. Talk to the people that may be disrupting the flow in the company and make peace with everyone. Your idols and staff members will not only be able to unwind a bit, but the fans here would be able to see that everything that has been happening was a confusion for all sides. It will be hard, but you can't say you didn't try if this doesn't pull through. Although I was shell shocked by the events that had happened this year I can't say that I don't want to make it better. Hopefully 2015 will be a better year.

Sincerely,

Misha Chun
